To kill a mockingbird

Posted : 5 years, 8 months ago on 30 September 2012 01:33 (A review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962))

It is a wonderful movie based on Harper lee's novel 'To Kill A Mockingbird' directed by Robert Mulligan. The film begins by portraying the innocence of tomboyish 6 year old Scout(Mary Badham) and her elder brother Jem(Philip Alfrod)and their widower lawyer father Atticus Finch(Gregory Peck).
It has two parallel storyline which shows Atticus defends Tom Robinson(Brock Peters),a black man accused of raping a white woman and the two young Finch's fascination with their mysterious rumoured to be dangerous neighbour Boo Radley(Robert Duvall).Robinson's trial gives the film its momentum. The warmth and integrity of the characters in this movie is outstanding. The acting is incredible and the directing is brilliant. It is one of the best movie I have ever seen.
